Admissions Process & Funding
Application Requirements for M.Ed. in AIG:
Candidates for admission to the M.Ed. in AIG must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university, with a GPA of at least 3.0, and also must hold a current NC teaching license (or its equivalent from another state).
The following documents are needed to accompany the application:
- Original transcripts from all previous higher education institutions attended
- GRE or M.A.T. scores (30th percentile or above). Note: the test score requirement can be waived for applicants who have made all A’s in our Graduate Certificate in AIG coursework! Contact the AIG Program Director if this applies to your application.
- Three letters of recommendation from professional educators (colleagues and administrators familiar with your professional work)
- A one-half to two-page statement describing your experience and goals in undertaking graduate study in AIG

- UNC Charlotte awards priority financial aid to those who submit the FAFSA by March 1.

- This page (http://scholarships.uncc.edu/) is the scholarship search/application portal for all internal awards. When students create a profile in the system, scholarships for which they are eligible–based on major, class standing, veteran status, etc.–automatically appear in their queue. Students (including potential students) can also search for awards without creating a profile.
